Our school's triumphant cricket competition win........

In the world of sports, there are moments that transcend the game itself, moment that inspire, untie, and leave an incredible mark on the hearts of those who witness them. We are delighted to share, our school recently experienced one such moment of glory as our school's under-20 cricket team emerged victorious in a thrilling match that showcased not just their cricket prowess, but also their unwavering spirit, dedication, and teamwork.

Firstly, congratulations to the outstanding team members, Dezari Wijesinghe (The Captain), Ashini Yashodhara (The Vice Captain), Tharushika Patima, Dinethmi Tharumila, Senuri Bhagya, Kaveesha Dilki, Uththama Ranganavi, Dihini Himara, Sulakshi Pamada, Dilki Maneesha, Bhagya Malshani, and Cristeen Wijesinghe for their exceptional performance and for leading St. Paul's Girls' School to take the runners up of the Apostolic Carmel Inter School Cricket Competition. This victory is like stepping into the great achievement of your future sports career.

The match was played on 20th August in 2023 and was played at The Holy Cross Collage ground, Kalutara. Five other schools, including our school, participated in the competition. The teams of the schools also competed very well and our school team won runners-up in the competition.

On this occasion, we would like to thank Mr. Sudesh Perera & Mrs. Kumudu , who came to our school and did cricket training and shaping us into skilled players and fostering teamwork. Also, we would like to thank Mrs. Yashoda Oshadhi, the teacher-in-charge of sports in our school for guiding our team to victory through her dedication and support. And special thanks goes to, Rev. Sr. Maria Erandi, Mrs. Yashodha Oshadhi & Mrs. Kumudu for went to the venue where the matches were held with the students and giving them company and provided security to the contestants. As a school, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our principal, Rev. Sr. Maria Riana for her immense encouragement and help. Without the guided support of these remarkable individuals, our victory would not have been possible one. We are forever grateful for their contribution to us. 

This victory wasn't just for the team; it was for the entire school community. It showcased our school's commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also sportsmanship, teamwork, and resilience.
