Born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Rev. Sr. Maria Riana embarked on an extraordinary journey that began at St. Anthony's Girls' School in Colombo 03, where she laid the foundation for her future as a dedicated student and a compassionate leader as a well-mannered human being. Her time at St. Anthony's Girls' School as a student was marked by her unwavering commitment to academic excellence, character development, and instilling values of uprightness and compassion in her fellow students. Her intellectual curiosity, coupled with her innate ability to inspire and motivate, soon earned her the admiration and respect of both her peers and mentors.

She dedicated her life to our Lord Jesus Christ, taking vows and committed to go through the path where she will lead the thousands of lost lambs to the light. Following her graduation, Rev. Sr. Maria Riana embarked on a noble path of service, returning to her alma mater as a teacher. Her infectious passion for education, coupled with her remarkable ability to connect with students, soon led to her being appointed as the Principal of St. Anthony's Balika Maha Vidyalaya in Colombo 09.

Under her visionary leadership, St. Anthony's Balika Maha Vidyalaya flourished, becoming a beacon of educational excellence and empowerment. Rev.
