Kelaniya Zonal Elle Match Victory

Our school Triumphs in the Elle Tournament..... 

In a thrilling display of skill, determination, and teamwork, our school emerged victorious in the highly competitive Kelaniya Zonal School Tournament 2023. The tournament not only showcased the exceptional talent of our students but also underscored the importance of perseverance and unity in achieving success. 

The road to victory was not an easy one, but the journey was characterized by the unwavering spirit of camaraderie among our students. So warm congratulations to the under 20 Elle team members Dezari Wijesinghe(The Captain), Tharushika Patima(The Vice Captain),Dinethmi Tharumila, Ashini Yashodara, Malki Roshan, Sashini Nethra, Uththama Ranganavi, Sandali Ruwanthika, Senuri Bhagya,  Kaveesha Dilki, Dilki Maneesha, Vihara Wickramage, Bhagya Malshani, Iresha Chamodhi, Gimhani Dilini, Pasindi Vidurangi, Maleesha Sewwandhi, Inoshi Shashmika and Uwani Nikesha for their exceptional performance. Behind every triumphant moment lies countless hours of practice, dedication, and discipline. Our students exemplified these traits throughout their journey in the Elle Tournament. Early morning practices, late-night strategy sessions, and rigorous fitness routines all contributed to their exceptional performance on the field. 

9 schools participated in the tournament and the tournament was held on   August in 2023 at Polhena Ground in Kelaniya. The other school teams also competed very well and the last match was our school against Vishaka Balika Vidyalaya, Sapugaskanda. And St.Paul's Girls' School Elle team was the under-20 champion of the Kelaniya Zone.  

On this occasion, we would like to special thanks to Mrs. Kumudu Jayasundhara, who is the Elle coach at our school, And Thank Mrs.Yashodha Oshadhi, who is the teacher-in-charge of sports in our school, for guiding the team to victory through her dedication and support. Your dedication and passion for coaching have truly made a positive impact on our team's growth and development.

And special thanks goes to Mrs. Samali, Mrs. Nisansala, Mr. Chullapadhuma, and Mrs. Kumudu went to the venue where the matches were held with the students and gave them company and provided a secretary for the contestants.

As we celebrate our school's victory in the Elle Tournament, we also look toward the future with optimism and enthusiasm. This triumph has set a new standard of excellence for our school's sports programs, inspiring younger students to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals.
